Medha and Daniyal’s Wedding
September 1-2, 2018
Bridgeman’s Ballroom and Knowlton Mansion

Labor Day Weekend is the prefect weekend for a beautiful Indian Wedding!  Medha and Daniyal took advantage of a three day weekend to celebrate their love with family and friends.  We had the pleasure of assisting them on several design pieces for their day.

On Saturday the 1st, the Sangeet and Mehendi Ceremony was held at Bridgeman’s Ballroom.  From rose lit walls to gold sashes and gold pedestal vases filled with coral, pink, and peach roses the venue is set for a night of joyous celebration.  Both sides of the family came together to start the wedding festivities with singing and dancing.  During the night Medha was adorned with intricate henna designs on her hands and feet.

Sunday, September 2nd, the wedding day has arrived. The venue was Knowlton Manson. We transformed the garden arbor into a picture perfect place for a Hindu wedding. The Mandap took center-stage, with sheers of coral, peach, and light pink that were tied back with vibrant hot pink, white, and pink flowers. In that early afternoon, the Hindu service began with the attendance of family and selected friends.  Medha and Dan exchanged garlands during their ceremony made of red and peach carnations.  As the Hindu service came to an end, family and friends erupted with joy and celebration.  The day is not over yet!

More guests arrive to the final “western” ceremony.  Medha is escorted down the aisle by her parents, sister, and her wedding party.  Medha then walked under a phoolonkichadar (floral canopy) covered with silk pink and coral roses and dangling hot pink blooms.  The bridesmaids were in aqua dresses carry coral, pink, and white flowers with coral ribbons.  Finally, the newly Mr. and Mrs. are ready to dance the night away!

Guests enjoyed the rest of the night dancing and celebrating the Newlyweds.  The Reception tables had a trio of  tall cylinder vases with clear gems holding Dendrobium orchids with aqua ribbon around the top of each vase.  We also had reused all the Mehendi floral arrangements for cocktail hour.
